ციფრული პლატფორმის მეშვეობით საქმიანობის განმახორციელებელ პირთა სამართლებრივი სტატუსის განსაზღვრა თანამედროვე შრომის სამართლის გამოწვევაა, ვინაიდან აღნიშნული საკითხისადმი ერთგვაროვანი მიდგომის ჩამოყალიბება ძალიან მნიშვნელოვანია ამ ტიპის სამუშაოს სპეციფიკური ხასიათის გამო. სამეცნიერო ლიტერატურასა და სასამართლო პრაქტიკაში შეიმჩნევა დასაქმებულის ცნების გაფართოების ტენდენცია, რომლის მიზანი პირთა მინიმალური სოციალური გარანტიებით უზრუნველყოფაა.
