Trends of Protection of Women’s Rights in the Case Law of European Court of Human Rights

Protection of Women’s Right became very acute in Georgia recently. Therefore, the article aims to analyze the existing trends in European Court of Human Rights as well as which approaches are established in European Court of Human Rights in this regard, taking into consideration that the European Convention of Human Rights does not contain a special provision about the protection of women’s rights. Together with the theoretical deliberation there are underlined initial discussions contained in the classical historical cases in this Article. In addition, the Article analyzes recently created case law of European Court of Human Rights having fundamental significance for the protection of women’s rights and the author concludes that through the evolution of the case law of European Court of Human Rights the European Convention of Human Rights becomes an effective legal document for the protection of women’s rights.References
